Dear Mister…**strike out** no, too formal.
Hey there sweet cheeks *strike out* no, too forward.
To whom it may concern,
Full disclosure; before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer—because it was free.
I think it’s important to be open and honest with your co-workers, don’t you?
So here I am, being honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide.
I like you so much it’s clouding my judgment and making me do things I never would sober. Like write this letter.
I have a hopeless, foolish, schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for. Did you know people around the office call you a sadist? An egomaniac. An insensitive, arrogant prick. Your bark is worse then your bite, and you don’t scare me. The fact is, I’d love that bite of yours to nip at my bare skin while we’re both wearing nothing but sheets.
For once I want you to look at me as more than one of your employees.
And as long as we’re being honest, that navy blue suit you wear? With the crisp white shirt? It really makes me want to loosen your tie and show you who’s boss.
When you think of a duo who should be writing RomCom together, Sara Ney and Meghan Quinn seem like the obvious answer. LOVE SINCERELY YOURS wasn’t all quite what I was expecting, but still made for a fun, laugh out loud read.
If you love low angst, low drama, some embarrassing moments and lots of laughs, this is the book for you.
Peyton works for Rome‘s company, in a position that she isn’t passionate about. So when she lets Rome know that she is putting in her notice, he isn’t too thrilled with the woman he never even realized existed before.
Rome is closed off, moody and the kind of boss workers gossip about behind his back. Yet, he is really attractive, so despite his personality, Peyton finds herself crushing on him. And one night when she is really drunk, she lets him know via email how she feels about him.
Anonymously, of course.
They two start emailing back and forth, a unexpected friendship and chemistry forming between them. Of course, Rome has no idea it’s Peyton he’s emailing; the person who drives him nuts and won’t leave his mind.
And then… well, you just have to read to find out!
I did have a few problems with this one. I didn’t feel it had the big BOOM factor that you usually find in both Ney and Quinn’s work. The amount of emails back and forth got a little tedious at times. I also didn’t always feel the spark between Peyton and Rome and… *in a whipser* I found Rome a little boring at times. 😡
But like I said, it was loaded with funny moments and fun banter and some great side characters that I can’t wait to know more about!
