Hosting her brother’s wedding for an MVP guest list is the challenge of Jess Canning’s life. Already the family screw-up, she can’t afford to fail. And nobody (nobody!) can learn of the colossal mistake she made with the best man during a weak moment last spring. It was wrong, and there will not be a repeat. Absolutely not. Even if he is the sexiest thing on two legs.

Blake Riley sees the wedding as fate’s gift to him. Jess is the maid of honor and he’s the best man? Let the games begin. So what if he’s facing a little (fine, a lot) of resistance? He just needs to convince the stubborn blonde that he’s really a good boy with a bad rap. Luckily, every professional hockey player knows that you’ve got to make an effort if you want to score.

But Jess has more pressing issues to deal with than sexy-times with a giant man-child. Such as: Will the ceremony start on time, even though someone got grandma drunk? Does glitter ever belong at a wedding? And is it wrong to murder the best man?

Caution: May cause accidental aspiration of tea or coffee. Do not read in a public place where loud laughter is inappropriate. Contains hot but hilarious hockey players, puppy cuddling and a snarky pair of underwear.

When Sarina and Elle write together, it’s pure perfection. Every. Since. Time. GOOD BOY has everything you could possibly want in a book: Flawless writing, great dialogue, laugh out loud moments, characters that steal your heart and make you swoon, and scenes so steamy, it could melt the four inches of snow that’s currently outside.

When GOOD BOY starts, the only thing on Jess Canning‘s mind is a wedding. Not her own, but the wedding of her brother Jamie and his fiance Wes. Being a wedding planner is hard enough, but even more so when it’s family. So needless to say her mind is definitely not on Blake Riley- or the amazing sexy they had months before. At least, tries not to think about it.

Unfortunately for her, she has been on Blake’s mind. Once with Jess wasn’t enough for Blake, and it’s his mission to get her to give in to him once more. Unfortunately for him, Jess isn’t in the best place in her life. Unlike her siblings, she can’t figure out what her passion in life is for. She has gone from job to job, and can’t stand to make her parents disappointed again.

So the two start an adorable friendship that is filled with the best banter, moments that warm your chest, and sexual tension that is so delicious, you may have the urge to stick your face in the freezer. Errr… not that I did that or anything.

The characters in this book are absolutely the best.

Blake is one of those characters that have a ton of layers to him. He feels so real, and I can promise you will be claiming him as your next book boyfriend. He comes off at times as a loud, slightly over the top guy who doesn’t take things too serious. Mr. Carefree. But man, does Blake have a heart of gold. The way he loves his family, his friends, Jess- it will make you melt. He will have you grinning like crazy and turn your stomach into a butterfly conservatory. I also love that we get to see a whole different side to him, which only adds to the love.

And Jess, well, her growth through this book is incredible. So much about her changes from the first chapter, and you can’t help but root for her along the way. I love that she can hold her own when it comes to Blake and isn’t afraid to tell it like it is with him. She doesn’t fold under his first charming smile, yet instead she puts herself first for a while- it was so refreshing to see a heroine do that.

Of course, we also have the Canning family back and a chance to meet the Riley’s. Jamie and Wes are also in it (YAY), and if you didn’t know, Jamie and Wes have their own story in the M/M books, HIM and US.  You also meet several of Blake’s hockey teammates and there are quite a few that I’m hoping we get books on!

You need to read this book. Easily one of my fave 2017 reads, and yes, I’m aware it’s still January. It’s that good!!!
