ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, I have to admit I was so excited to get my hands on this ARC. I have a weakness for the friends to lovers type of story line, and I’ve been going through withdraws. I’m happy to say The Finn Factor did not disappoint.

Scarlett Logan is in the middle of a dry spell. While she has no problems getting a first date, she can’t quite get them to stick around for a second one. And even though her best-friend (and roommate) Finn Mackenzie insists it’s not her, it’s the guys she picks, Scarlett can’t help but feel something is wrong with her. Like her kissing perhaps, since that is usually the last thing that happens before the guy is never heard from again. So she decides to ask, er, beg Finn to kiss her and give her the honest truth. Maybe even a lesson if she needs one.

Finn is hesitate to cross that line with Scarlett, especially since he knows Scarlett’s dry spell is not her fault. In fact, it’s kind of his. Being protective over his best friend, Finn feels the guys that Scarlett brings home are only after her looks and don’t want to get to know her at all. So he scares them away. It’s for her own good, but she looks so upset, he can’t help but give in and kiss her.

They share this mind blowing kiss, one that takes them both by surprise, and has them both craving another one. They both agree their friendship is too important and precious to screw it up over some hormones, but suddenly they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other (which leads to a super sexy scene involving a bookcase that you do not want to miss). Both Scarlett and Liam know they are all wrong for each other- Scarlett wants stability while Liam can barely remember who he is dating at the moment, but sometimes you can’t make a connection vanish.

This was my first book by Rachel Bailey and I really enjoyed it! The characters were well written, and had several layers to them. While it is slightly predictable, there was a lot more to it than I expected. While Scarlett and Liam have the most adorable friendship, they also have sizzling hot chemistry and talk about sexual tension. Phew.

I strongly recommend reading this book! For more information on The Finn Factor, check it out on Goodreads and Amazon!
