I’m not one that gives 5 stars often- I’m pretty much the queen of 4/4.5 stars. However, Things Liars Say is nothing less than 5 stars. Freshly original, completely sexy, and filled with the unmistakable Sara Ney wit that I love.

When Greyson Keller makes up a boyfriend to get her sorority sisters off her back, she never dreamed her little lie would show up on her doorstep, ready to kick her butt. Or maybe I should say his butt, as Cal Thompson is fully expecting to come face to face with the guy spreading rumors about him-not the gorgeous girl that is behind it all. An improbable friendship starts to form between the two of them, and well, let’s just say sometimes good things do come from telling lies.

I was so intrigued when I heard the plot, and it was everything I hoped for. Sara really hit a homerun with this one. Wait, wrong sport, I mean she scored a TRY!

Since it is a Novella it is more fast paced, but do not mistake that for being rushed at all. It was so well written that I was trying to devour the pages as quickly as I could, yet at the same time, trying to make it last. The story has an incredible flow, and two well defined characters with strong voices. Greyson is sharp and flirty, yet has this vulnerability to her that is easy to connect with. And Cal… he isn’t the type that knocks you right off your feet, yet rather blindsides you with his charm. He’s a mix of a strong, confident athlete with a sensitive, slightly self-conscious guy that is just… dare I say it, kind of romantic? Also, so cute. 😉 After you read it, you will understand the wink.

The only thing better than their adorable friendship is the chemistry between the two of them. I can pretty much sum it up in two words: Holy hottness. Seriously though, between sexy banter and sexual tension (kinda like heavy fog), it’s the kind of read that will have you laughing one second, and your heart fluttering the next.

This is the perfect summer read- just be careful where you read it, there are a quite a bit of laugh out loud moments, and ones that make you bite your lip.

I only wish it were longer, because I’m greedy like that, and wasn’t ready to leave Greyson and Cal behind just yet. The good news is that it will be part of a three book series, so get to writing Sara! 😛 Do yourself a favor and one click Things Liars Say. It will not disappoint.
