ARC kindly received for a review!

If you had no plans to check out A Kiss Like This by Sara Ney, you need to re-think that decision. Immediately. This book was one of the best I have read lately- a total breath of fresh air. I had some pretty high expectations for this book, and it exceed them- and then some. The third book in the series, AKLT follows it’s companions, Kissing In Cars and He Kissed Me First, and even though I really enjoyed the first two, this one far surpasses them. I was up half the night because I couldn’t put it down, and even when I finished it, I was laying there for a while, thinking about how good it was.

A Kiss Like This features Abby (shy, reserved, slightly awkward) and Caleb (moody, anti-social and maybe even more awkward) who happen to meet when Abby falls into Caleb’s life. Literally. Even though they do not get off to the best start, cue in some awesome banter, they start up a friendship. It isn’t long before they both want more, they just don’t know how to go about achieving that. It also features some familiar faces from the previous books, as well as some new roommates/teammates that bring mischief and problems into Abby and Caleb’s lives.

Caleb and Abby are characters you definitely warm up to quickly, and they were so well written. I connected with Abby from the start, and saw some touches of myself in her. Her passive, sweet personality, along with the fact that she occasionally stuttered was really endearing. What I really loved most about her was that even though she was on the timid side, she had no problem standing up for herself when the time came. As for Caleb? Well.. what is there not to like about him? He wasn’t the typical cocky male character, but rather was the perfect blend of sarcastic and shy, who turns out to be a bigger softy than even he knew.Β  You won’t be able to escape his charm, and believe me when I say you wouldn’t want to.

Their relationship isn’t quick or perfect, but it is honest and real. Relationships are messy, full of mistakes and down right awkward at times.

One warning about this book- It will make you laugh, and I don’t mean the occasional chuckle. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much while reading a book. It got to the point where I was really thankful I was reading it in the privacy of my living room.

The book is also sweet, sexy and filled with just the right amount of cringe worthy embarrassing moments. You will fall in love with everything about A Kiss Like This, and you can’t do anything but root for Abby and Caleb. And if you’re anything like me, you may find yourself squealing and muttering encouragement to them through your kindle. Yeah, I’m that kind of reader.

And as a loyal fan of a BIG TEN school, Sara gets some extra points for mentioning the BIG. πŸ˜›

There is so much more I could say about it, but I’ll let you see somethings for yourself. πŸ˜‰ So do yourself a huge favor and check out this book. Again, it will be out on June 1st, and isn’t on amazon yet, so I can’t set up a link but I will do so after the release date. For more on Sara Ney, check out her Facebook.
